Conference
2025 will be OZTek's 25th year celebrating incredible feats in the underwater world and the extraordinary individuals who go above and beyond to achieve their diving or scientific goals. We are the longest, most successful dive show in Australian history.
Reading like the Who's Who of modern diving exploration, previous OZTek presenters have included the world's most skilled divers; many of whom hold world records for open ocean depth or distance penetration into caves. With names that include, Dr Ann Kristovitch, Jim Bowden, Brett Gilliam, Nuno Gomes and John Bennett; cave diving explorers, Jarrod Jablonski, Olivier Isler, Dr Richard Harris, Bill Stone, Casey McKinlay, Lamar Hires, Martyn Farr, Rick Stanton and Jill Heinerth; deep wreck exploration divers, Richie Kohler, John Chatterton, Gary Gentile, Richard Lundgren, Trevor Jackson, Leigh Bishop, Carl Spencer, and Mark Spencer; together with famed underwater film-makers like Andrew Wight; rebreather divers of the caliber of Kevin Gurr, Richard Pyle, Joe Dituri, Mark Caney, and Martin Parker; diving authorities such as Dr Drew Richardson, Michael Menduno, Karl Shreeves, Grant W. Graves, Prof. Dr. Murat Egi and Dr Walter Starck; and recognised authorities on diving medicine and physiology including Professor Simon Mitchell, Dr David Doolette, John Lippmann and Dr Andrew Fock - to mention only a few of the many illustrious presenters who have traveled from around the world to share their knowledge and experiences with OZTek audiences - the speaker line up continues to offer unparalleled opportunities to listen to, and learn from, the very best the world of diving has to offer.
Now located at the heart of Sydney’s Darling Harbour and entertainment area, The International Convention Centre, Sydney is easier to find, easier to get to by car or public transport, with the new Goods Line walk taking you on a 10-minute scenic walk directly to Central station, without crossing a road!
Established in 1999 as The Australian Diving Technologies Conference & Rebreather Forum, OZTek rapidly evolved, gaining in stature and international recognition to become one of the leading events of its type held anywhere in the world. Focused on the latest developments in diving and the technology used by underwater explorers in their bid to unlock the ocean's secrets, the OZTek has become synonymous with diving excitement and adventure.
Building on the success of the previous nine events, the OZTek2025 will once again feature an international cast of speakers - each an acknowledged expert in their respective field of diving expertise - to enthral, educate and entertain.
