OZTeK 2011

For Divers Who Want More

Attracting an international line-up of exhibitors from countries that include: Canada, China, Fiji, Indonesia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Singapore, Sweden, the UK, the USA and Australia, the biennial OZTeK event - OZTeK'11 - is on track to deliver another dynamic showcase featuring the very best that the world of diving has to offer.

To be held at Australian Technology Park, Sydney, on the 12 - 13 March 2011, OZTeK'11 is a multi-faceted event that has something of interest to everyone who dives.

Dive Exhibition

Displaying the latest diving trends and innovations, the OZTeK'11 Dive Exhibition will be Australia's largest dive shop. From cameras to compressors, regulators to rebreathers, snorkels to scooters and facemasks to fins - and not forgetting underwater lights and the full range of equipment and dive-related accessories - the world's leading equipment brands and accessories will all be on show.

Helping pave the way to safe and enjoyable diving experiences, the world's major training organizations will again be represented. Keeping pace with the technologies and techniques that have opened up new frontiers of exciting diving possibilities, there's no better place to learn more about the latest programmes, courses, products and services now on offer than to visit the Training Agency stands.

From seldom-visited reefs, atolls and tropical islands, to deep walls and mysterious wrecks, dive travel destinations are prominent in the wish-lists of most divers. Featuring diving vacations and adventures to suit every taste and pocket, the professional dive resorts, liveaboards and dive operators at OZTeK'11 can help tailor a trip that will make dreams come true.

Talks, Seminars and Workshops

With speakers and presenters drawn from around the world, OZTeK'11 will feature a full programme of talks, seminars and workshops. Held in the adjacent state-of-the-art theatre - with big-screen impact - or one of the four purpose configured rooms, each of the presentations represent diving info-tainment at its very best.

Sharing their passion, speakers at OZTeK'11 are among the world's most accomplished divers; people whose achievements often put themselves beyond the limits. Underwater Imagery Competition

There's no better way of sharing the thrill and adventure of diving than by capturing that perfect underwater moment on camera. With full details to be announced soon, the fifth OZTeK Underwater Imagery Competition will again allow underwater photographers the opportunity to show their creative talents and win some great prizes.

Focussing on images drawn from around the Asia/Pacific region, the competition will again include Cave and Wreck diving categories, as well as an Open section.

Undersea Explorers Evening

A ticketed event dedicated to exploration and adventure, the Undersea Explorers evening features presentations - often accompanied by stunning visual imagery - given by Members and Fellows of The Explorers Club of New York; many of whom have travelled to Sydney from all parts of Australia and the world to speak at OZTeK'11.

To be held in the main theatre on the evening of Saturday, 12 March, the 'Undersea Explorers Evening' provides a unique opportunity to listen to those whose adventures have often placed them at the cutting edge of diving knowledge.

Gala Dinner

As in previous years, the OZTeK'11 weekend finishes in style with the Gala Dinner. To be staged in the magnificent surrounds of Dockside Cockle Bay, in the heart of Sydney's Darling Harbour, the dinner includes a three-course gourmet meal, accompanied by unlimited wines, beers and soft drinks; a guest speaker; the presentation of the OZTeK'11 Industry Recognition and Technical Diver of the Year Awards, as well as an opportunity to win one of the many Lucky Door Prizes generously donated by sponsors.

With a 'smartly casual' dress code and the opportunity to meet and speak with many of the weekend's speakers and presenters, the evening is open to everybody who appreciates the social side of diving.

A ticketed event, bookings for the Gala Dinner - as well as Conference Passes - are expected to go on sale in late August, with details to be announced on the website at: www.diveoztek.com.auFor further information about OZTeK'11, please visit the website, or contact the organiser by e-mail at: admin@diveoztek.com.au
